Dr. Nadiia Bukhonka is an Associate Professor at the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” Zrenjanin, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. She holds a PhD in Technical Sciences with a specialization in Textile Material Technology from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Ukraine. With over 18 years of academic experience and more than 11 years of industry experience, she has worked as an engineering technologist, technical director in knitting production, digital printing department manager, and textile brand manager.

He received his degree in Chemical Engineering from the K.U. Leuven (Belgium) in 1971 where he also obtained his Ph.D. in 1978. The subject of his Ph.D. research was “Non-linear viscoelastic behavior of dispersions”. This subject has a renewed interest due to the presence of nanoparticles in the air (pollution) and even in blood and longs and their possibility to form gel-like structures. He worked as senior researcher from 1978 till 2004 in the private industry (Solvay; Central Research Laboratory) in the field of polymerization and polymer processing. In 1994 he obtained the part-time position of lecturer at the Ghent University, teaching “polymer processing”. In 2004 he obtained the fulltime position of professor at the Ghent University teaching all courses concerning polymer technology, including processing and polymerization processes. He is also involved in the courses concerning “environment and sustainable development” in general and teaching the course of “rational use of materials” in particular.

Dr. Marianna V. Kharlamova holds PhD degree in Physics (Spectroscopy) from University of Vienna (Vienna, Austria) and PhD degree in Chemistry (Inorganic Chemistry, Solid State Chemistry) from Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia). She graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with MSc degree in Chemistry and BSc degree in Materials Science. Dr. Kharlamova is an experienced materials scientist with an extensive expertise in the development, synthesis and characterization of advanced materials. She has a strong background in Chemistry, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Bionanotechnology, Physics and Biophysics. She has a large experience of the design and conduction of material synthesis and characterization experiments in chemical, physical and biophysical laboratories, the processing, analysis and interpretation of the obtained data and the preparation of reports and manuscripts. Dr. Pasqualina Liana Scognamiglio is an Associate Professor (SSD CHEM-03/A) at the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences, University of Basilicata, Italy. She earned her PhD in Drug Sciences from the University of Naples “Federico II,” where her research focused on peptidic inhibitors of protein–protein interactions. Dr. Scognamiglio has held postdoctoral research positions at renowned institutions including the Italian Institute of Technology and the University of Cambridge. Her research interests include functional biomaterials, polymer chemistry, and advanced biotechnological approaches for healthcare applications. She has published extensively and collaborates internationally in materials chemistry and nanoscience.

She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physics from the Federal University of Santa Maria and a PhD in Science from the State University of Campinas (2003), where her research focused on the dynamics of chemically modified silicon surfaces using AFM. She completed postdoctoral and research appointments at UFRJ and PUC-Rio, investigating surface coatings and amorphous carbon films. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil. Her research expertise includes surfaces and thin films, AFM, polymeric and non-polymeric materials, liquid crystals, and applications in electronic devices.

Dr. Junqin Shi is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University. He is a specially appointed expert of the Youth Study Group of the Surface Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, a young editorial board member of Nano-Micro Letters, Journal of Trilogy (Chinese and English), and the Chinese Journal of Surface Engineering, as well as an editorial board member of Scientific Reports. His research primarily focuses on friction lubrication mechanisms, surface and interface adsorption behavior, metal material deformation, and hydrogen production through water electrolysis. He is proficient in cross-scale theoretical calculations, including first-principles, molecular dynamics, and contact mechanics finite element methods, applying material genetic engineering approaches to provide microscale perspectives on surface and interface phenomena. Dr. Shi has published more than 40 papers as first author, co-author, or corresponding author in leading journals such as Nature Communications, ACS Nano, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Carbon, Nano Research, Tribology International, Friction, and Applied Surface Science.

Dr. Yang received Ph.D degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Rolla, USA in 1994. After two years postdoctoral fellowship at Clarkson University, USA, he worked at Solvay, Unilever, Baker Hughes in US for 20 years. Then, he joined Liaoning Petrochemical University as Professor. His research interests include surfactants, polymers, nanomaterials applications as dispersant, emulsifier, thickener, corrosion inhibitors. He has published 120 papers, and is the inventor or co-inventor of 60 US and China patents. Dr. Yang has received multinational corporate awards for his research achievement andhas been named on the list of Stanford-Elsevier's top 2% scientists worldwide for career-long citation impact since 2023.

Dr. Tannenbaum received her B.Sc. in chemistry and physics from the Hebrew University, her M.Sc. in physical chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science and her D.Sc. in chemical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich. Dr. Tannenbaum is currently a full professor in the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, a member of the Stony Brook Cancer Center and a member of the Institute of Gas Innovation and Technology at Stony Brook University in New York. To date she has published over 250 peer-reviewed articles, reviews and conference proceedings. She is the recipient of numerous awards such as the best paper award of the 1st International Conference on Applied Physics (2003), the Sigma Xi best thesis advisor award (2004), the MRS Fall 2006 Meeting outstanding paper award (2007), the best paper award in the SAIC paper competition (2007, 2010 and 2012) and the best paper award of the 6th International Symposium on Frontiers in Polymer Science (2019). She is a member of the editorial board of several professional journals and a member of the American Chemical Society, Materials Research Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Dr. Tannenbaum’s areas of interest are soft matter and complex fluids, bio-based functional materials, nanocomposites from renewable resources, plastics recycling and catalysis.

Dr. Sharmila M. Mukhopadhyay is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Director of the Frontier Institute for Research in Sensor Technologies (FIRST). She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University in 1989 and has since established a distinguished career spanning research, education, and leadership in advanced materials and nanotechnology. Before joining her current institution, Dr. Mukhopadhyay served as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Wright State University from 1997 to 2019. During her tenure there, she founded the Center for Nanoscale Multifunctional Materials, which became a hub for interdisciplinary research in emerging materials. She also played a major role in engineering education innovation as the Founding Director of the National Academy of Engineering’s Grand Challenges Scholars Program at WSU. Dr. Mukhopadhyay has held several prestigious appointments, including serving as a Jefferson Science Fellow with the National Academies and the U.S. Department of State from 2016 to 2017. She also contributed to defense-related research as a Summer Faculty Fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory from 2000 to 2003. Her research focuses on the development, characterization, and application of multifunctional nanomaterials, with emphasis on surface and interface phenomena. Her work supports advancements in compact, lightweight systems for energy, environmental, and biomedical applications. A strong advocate for multidisciplinary collaboration, she continues to lead initiatives that integrate engineering innovation with societal needs.

Marco Giorgetti is an Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry, and he leads the group of Spectroscopy Electrochemistry and Energy (S2E) jointly at the University of Bologna and University of Camerino. His research interest covers the field of the structural and electronic characterization of materials and solutions by core level spectroscopies, such as X-ray Spectroscopies, the applied electrochemistry, sensors, the synthesis and characterization of materials for advanced batteries. He has applied Prussian blue-based materials in potentiometric and amperometric sensors, ion exchange, batteries. He is an expert in methodologies for data analysis. He had pioneered the in-situ characterization of energy material by the x-ray absorption synchrotron radiation technique.

Dr Haixue Yan is a Reader in Materials Science and Engineering at Queen Mary University of London. He received his bachelor degree at University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) in 1994 and PhD degree at Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS) in 2001. His research spans dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials, with contributions ranging from new materials discovery and advanced characterisation to fundamental mechanisms and emerging applications.He has published over 260 SCI papers, holds nine patents, and authored two teaching books, Phase Transitions and Functional Materials.He received Award for Excellence in Reviewing for ActaMaterialia in 2021 and the IOM3 Pfeil Awardin 2023. He is aFellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). He has delivered numerous keynote and invited talks. Maria Manuela Silva obtained a Research Assistant position in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Minho (1991). She received her PhD in Chemistry in 1999 and was promoted to Assistant Professor at the same University, where she is now Full Professor. Her research activities focus on the synthesis and characterisation of solid polymer electrolytes and their application in the domains of solid-state electrochemistry (batteries and electrochromic devices). She is also interested in the chemistry of organic-inorganic hybrid materials. She is co-author of more 220 papers in SCI journals, 35 papers in Proceedings and 7 book chapters.

Prof. Pavel Lejček finished his studies of Physical Chemistry at the Institute of Chemical Technology, now University of Chemistry and Technology, UCT, in Prague (Czechoslovakia)in 1973 and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1983 from the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. The whole professional life he spent at the Institute of Physics, Czech Academy of Sciences. He obtained the Dr.Sc. academic degree from the Czech Academy of SciencesIn 1996 and since 2005 he is professor of metallurgy at UCT. He is primarily focused on structure and properties of grain boundaries in metals. He is author of more than 200 original and review papers published in journals such as Progress in Materials Science, Critical Reviews in Solid State and Materials Science, and Acta Materialia. He is co-author of the Chapter ‘Surface and Interfacial Microchemistry’ in 4th edition of ‘Physical Metallurgy’ (Cahn, Haasen, eds., North Holland, 1996) and of the book ‘Grain Boundary Segregation in Metals’ (Springer 2010) which was translated in Chinese (Tsinghua University Press, 2020). His H-index is 31.

Pelagia-Irene (Perena) Gouma is a Full Professor and Endowed Chair in The Department of Materials Science and Engineering of The Ohio State University. She holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. During her 25 years in the professoriate, she has invented and produced advanced functional materials; she has pioneered the Crystallo-chemical approach for selective chemo-sensing; she has advanced nanomanufacturing by producing novel, scalable tools for nanofibrous materials; she has received national and international recognition -Fulbright (2008), Richard M. Fulrath (2013), Innovator Award (2021), etc.- for her breakthrough innovations. Hui-Shen Shen is a Professor of Applied Mechanics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Professor Sharath Sriram is a science and research leader creating and delivering breakthrough technologies in nanoelectronics, sensors, and medical technologies. He jointly leads the Functional Materials and Microsystems Research Group at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. The team are focused on translating technology for healthcare, to bring science fiction to reality. Sharath led and coordinated a $60 million multi-user, inter-disciplinary research facility for micro- and nano-fabrication. He is currently leading medical device prototyping and scale-up manufacturing initiatives, as Director of the Discovery to Device Facility. He is the President of Science & Technology Australia and an active contributor to science policy with a focus on innovation and long-term strategy, research translation and commercialisation, and support for early- and mid-career researchers.

Dr. Navid Alinejadian holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering with a specialisation in Additive Manufacturing and Electrochemistry. He is an expert in the design and laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) Additive Manufacturing of functional 3D nanocomposite structures, integrating advanced manufacturing techniques with electrochemical energy conversion and storage (EECS) applications. Since 2019, Dr. Alinejadian has led interdisciplinary research at the intersection of Powder Bed Fusion additive manufacturing, 2D nanomaterials (Graphene, Graphene Oxide, and TMDs), electrochemical engineering, and surface science. His current research, situated at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3.0, is directed toward the development of working prototypes that demonstrate scalable, sustainable pathways for the next generation of advanced energy storage systems. A core objective of his work is to accelerate the transition toward greener manufacturing paradigms within Industry 4.0, by embedding electrochemical functionality into structural materials via multi-material AM and in-situ processing of 2D material–reinforced metal matrix composites. Dr. Alinejadian is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher jointly affiliated with the University of Twente (The Netherlands) and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), contributing to European initiatives in electrochemical energy storage, nanostructured materials, and advanced manufacturing for sustainable technology deployment.

I am currently an independent academic researcher in Inorganic Chemistry Lab at the University of Oxford, Visiting Professor at the Hong Kong Institute of Technology Research, and Guest Professor at the U.S. National Agency for Artificial Intelligence (NAAI). Dr. Mounim Lebrini is a Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of the West Indies. He specializes in physico-chemistry and organic chemistry, with a strong focus on surface treatment and metal corrosion inhibition using natural organic compounds. He holds a PhD from the University of Sciences and Technologies of Lille and obtained his HDR from the University of the West Indies in 2017. He leads the "Materials/Molecules of Interest" research team at the L3MA laboratory and has coordinated several national research projects in corrosion science. His work combines electrochemical methods with surface analysis, and he has extensive experience in microwave assisted organic synthesis. Dr. Lebrini has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers (h-index: 30), supervised multiple PhD students, and serves as a reviewer for leading journals. He is also deeply engaged in academic leadership at the University of the West Indies, where he heads the Physics-Chemistry undergraduate program, presides over the final degree jury, and serves on various scientific and institutional committees.

Dr. Juan Lobos is a distinguished materials scientist and researcher with a career spanning three continents, dedicated to translating laboratory innovation into industrial competitiveness. His work is defined by a mission to use science as a direct engine for economic resilience and social well-being. He began his journey with a Master's in Physics and a Ph.D. in Materials Science (2012) from the University of Valladolid, specializing in lightweight structural foams for the automotive industry. Rising from lecturer to Associate Professor, he led multidisciplinary projects aimed at strengthening the nation's industry and founded a new Master's degree in STEAM education. I am an experimental condensed-matter physicist and currently serve as an Assistant Professor at the Amity Centre for Spintronic Materials, Amity University, India, where I lead research in spintronics, interfacial magnetism, and nanoscale magnetic heterostructures. Prof. Ramesh S. Chaughule completed his PhD at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India, a premier and pioneering research institute. At present, he is an Adjunct Professor at RamnarainRuia Autonomous College, Mumbai, where he guides PhD scholars in their research programs. He has been deputed to Indonesia by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) multiple times as an NMR expert. He has also been awarded numerous international fellowships to conduct research programs in various countries. He has served as a guest scientist at several universities in the USA, UK, Germany, Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia. In addition to numerous research publications and book chapters, Prof.Chaughule has edited 11 books on MRI and Nanotechnology, published by American Scientific Publishers, Springer Nature, and Taylor & Francis. He has authored more than 125 publications, including several book chapters, spanning the fields of NMR, MRI, biomaterials, medicine, and nanotechnology. His research interests span nanocomposites, nanomedicine, drug delivery systems, sustainable agriculture through nanotechnology, cancer research, food packaging, and bioplastics. He has organized several international conferences in India and has served on numerous academic and educational committees, including those of the Maharashtra Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Ramendra Pratap completed his master’s from the University of Gorakhpur in 2001 and then he moved to the Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow for doctoral research. He worked with Dr. Vishnu Ji Ram for four and a half years on ring transformation reactions of 2H-pyran-2-one. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the City University of New York, USA, and a Humboldt fellow at the University of Saarland, Germany. He has worked as a full Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi since 2022. He has published more than 100 papers in various international Journals and four books. He also received a JSPS invitation fellowship in 2016-17. His research focuses on developing various heterocycles, carbocycles, and materials, as well as metal-catalyzed bond formation reactions. Currently, He is visiting HZI Braunschweig, Germany, under the AvH program for three months. He is recipient of best teacher award from the University of Delhi.

Auchynnikau Y. V. was born on October 6, 1967 in Grodno. In 1984, he graduated from Secondary School №10 in Grodno and in the same year entered the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. In 1991, he graduated from Grodno State University with a degree in physics and received the qualification of physicist and teacher. After graduating, he worked as an engineer in the Department of Engineering and Technological Training. In 1992, he entered graduate school without interruption from work at the Research Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in Grodno, specializing in 05.02.01 Materials Science. From 1996 to 1998, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of MiRT. He defended his PhD dissertation in 1997. At the Research Institute of MiRT, he worked as the head of the joint laboratory "Unikard". This laboratory was created between the Research Institute of MiRT and the concern "Belcard" in Grodno. In 2003, by decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, E. V. Ovchinnikov was awarded the title of Associate Professor. From 2006 to 2010, he served as the Head of the Department of Technical Mechanics and Materials Science at the Grodno State Agrarian University. In 2016, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the technology of producing fluorine-containing thin-film systems at the St. Petersburg State Technological University. From 2010 to 2025, he served as Deputy Dean. Since 2025, he has served as the Head of the Department of Architecture and Construction. He is the author of over 500 scientific articles, 70 patents, and 7 monographs.

Professor Omid Mirzaee is a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Semnan University, Iran. He earned his B.Eng. in Materials Engineering-Casting from Isfahan University of Technology in 1998, his M.Eng. from Shiraz University in 2001, and his Ph.D. from Isfahan University of Technology in 2007. Since joining Semnan University in 2009, he has served as an assistant, associate, and full professor. Professor Mirzaee’s research focuses on advanced ceramics, magnetic materials, photocatalysts, nanomaterials synthesis, and optical ceramics. He has published 105 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, with at least 25 among the most cited in their respective years. His work has been cited over 3,700 times, reflecting its impact and recognition in the field. He has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Heat Treatment, Crystallography, Advanced Magnetic Materials, and Nano Ceramics. In addition to teaching and research, he frequently serves as a reviewer for prestigious journals and international conferences.

Tanvir Zaman is a materials scientist with over three years of research experience in materials testing, characterization, and inorganic synthesis. He holds an M.Sc. in Materials Chemistry and Mineralogy from Universität Bremen, Germany, and a B.Sc. in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). His expertise includes structure–property relationships and advanced characterization techniques such as SEM/EDS, XRD, DSC, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, electrochemical methods, AFM, and BET. His master’s research focused on the sol–gel synthesis and characterization of strontium aluminate ceramics. Muhammad Saad is a chemical engineer and master's student in Polymer Sciences and Sustainable Materials at the University of Strasbourg (France) and the University of Freiburg (Germany). He holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and has two years of professional experience as a Process Engineer at a fertilizer manufacturing plant, where he was involved in process monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure stable and efficient plant operations. His expertise includes polymer and material systems along with advanced materials characterization techniques such as SEM XRD, DSC, FTIR, NMR and AFM. He has experience in analyzing material properties and understanding structure-property relationships to support quality control and process improvement. Asad Ullah is an Aerospace & Astronautics Manufacturing, Research and Test Engineer based in the UK, working in advanced aerospace manufacturing and materials research. His work focuses on Refractory High-Entropy Alloys (RHEAs) for extreme environments, including nuclear thermal propulsion, liquid rocket engines, and high-temperature energy systems. He actively contributes to next-generation aerospace materials development and has been invited to present his research at multiple international conferences.

Satyaranjan Jena is a materials chemist specializing in nanomaterial synthesis, crystal facet engineering, and the study of structure–property relationships in semiconductor-based materials. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan, under the supervision of Prof. Michael H. Huang. His doctoral research focuses on the controlled synthesis of semiconductor nanostructures and their applications in piezoelectric and optoelectronic technologies. His work emphasizes understanding how crystal facets and nanoscale morphology influence functional properties such as photocatalytic activity, charge transport, and mechanical responses in advanced materials.

Emad Hosseini is a Materials and Process Engineer currently working at University College Dublin, with a distinguished background in the battery manufacturing industry. Previously, as a Senior Process Engineer at Freyr Battery in Norway, Emad served as a specialist in powder processing and the characterization of powders for semi-solid lithium-ion battery production. In this role, he was responsible for managing technical aspects of the SAT process and integrating new materials into the production line to ensure adherence to stringent quality standards. Emad holds an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering and brings deep expertise in powder metallurgy, risk assessment, and process validation.

Prof. Keon-Soo Jang earned his Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (USA) in 2015. He began his career at Samsung SDI, where he specialized in plastic compounding. In 2016, he joined the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), focusing on adhesives and epoxy resins for semiconductor packaging. Since 2018, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Suwon. His current research interests include plastic and rubber compounding, adhesive formulation, and heterojunction metal/polymer bilayer composites.

Nathan Jourdainne is a second-year Ph.D. student in polymer chemistry at the Nice Institute of Chemistry, France (ICN/CNRS UMR7272) within the ANR ECO2R project. His research focuses on the eco-design of recycling and reuse chains for bio-based and biodegradable plastics, aiming to improve the recyclability and stability of biopolymers. He lectures in the Chemistry Department at Université Côte d’Azur, teaching chemometrics, thermodynamics, kinetics, polymer chemistry, and thermal analysis. In the past year, he has co-authored three peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented his work at multiple international conferences, including EPF, GFP, and ChemBioTIC. Nathan was the French winner of the BISC-E Challenge, promoting innovation in biosourced polymers, and he actively participates in European collaborations through his involvement in three COST Actions (CA21126-e, CA22107-e, and CA22154-e). He also serves as a project officer for Horizon Europe and holds a diploma in Deeptech Entrepreneurship, reflecting his strong engagement at the intersection of science, innovation, and project management. Before his Ph.D., Nathan worked as a research engineer at i3S (Porto, Portugal) and at the Polymers Biopolymers Surfaces laboratory (CNRS, Rouen, France), focusing on antibacterial polymer surfaces. He also conducted research at Karlstad University (Sweden) on adsorption isotherms. Nathan holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Management from the University of Rouen and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Karlstad University. His multidisciplinary background and international experience support his commitment to developing sustainable and circular solutions for bioplastics.

Expert's degree in numerical simulation in engineering with ANSYS, Solid Mechanics Majoring, from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She is the author of several utility models. She collaborates with the Fracture and Structural Integrity (GIFIE) research group at the University of Salamanca and the Network Data Analysis and Visualisation (ANVIDA) research group at the University of Alicante.

Bhawna Sharma is a graduate student in the M.Sc. Micro and Nano Systems program at Technische Universität Chemnitz, Germany. She holds an M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kurukshetra University, India, and has seven years of experience in AI-based IoT systems, MEMS sensors, and smart-city technology projects with the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India. Her current academic and research interests focus on micro-robotics, micro-/nano-fabrication, and semiconductor device engineering. She is particularly passionate about developing micro-scale robotic systems for biomedical, sensing, and healthcare applications. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biotechnology at Ege University, where I started my doctoral studies in 2022. I completed my M.Sc. in Biomedical Technologies at Ege University and received my B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Pamukkale University in 2019. My research focuses on three-dimensional (3D) printing, electrochemical biosensors, and lateral flow devices. I have been actively working on the development of innovative biosensing and diagnostic technologies, and I am the holder of a national patent. I have participated in several national and international scientific conferences. Most recently, I presented a poster at the 35th Anniversary World Congress on Biosensors in Lisbon (2025) and delivered an oral presentation at the NanoBalkan conference.

Dr. Neelam Srivastava (Professor of Physics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi) has been working in the field of solid-state-ionics since 1989, with special emphasis on polymer electrolytes synthesis and characterization. Her group is presently dedicated to synthesizing economical, environment friendly, high and fast ion conducting Polymer-In-Salt-Electrolytes (PISEs) membranes for all-solid-state-flexible electrochemical devices. The group is presently working on addressing the problems/limitations of PISEs, which are theoretically very promising electrolytes known for their high cationic number and faster ion transport but due to recrystallization/ageing effects/brittle matrix etc., still struggling at laboratory scale testing. Prof Srivastava’s group has successfully developed a protocol using renewable polymer (starch) to synthesize a flexible, soft, high conducting (>0.01S/cm), having wider ESW (>2.5V) and faster ion transport (relaxation time ~μ Sec) PISEs and demonstrated their use in all-solid-state-flexible-supercapacitor, microbial fuel cell etc. The protocol is low cost, easy to handle and hence has the possibility for industrial application in future. The work has resulted in 4 patents (2 granted and 2 under examination).

Dr. Atef Elferjani received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Chemistry in 2011 and his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Tunisia, in 2017. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Science of Sfax, Tunisia, in 2017. Since 2016, he has been a university lecturer in Tunisia, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising laboratory work, and mentoring Master’s and PhD students. Beginning in 2024, he will work in Lisbon, Portugal, as a trainer in various scientific and technical disciplines, while continuing his teaching and research activities in Tunisia. Since 2018, Dr. Elferjani has served as a peer reviewer for multiple international journals covering physics, environmental science, battery materials, and advanced materials, while also supervising graduate and doctoral research projects. In 2021, he became an editor and scientific expert for several international journals, evaluating manuscripts and ensuring high-quality research publication. He has presented his work at numerous international conferences, seminars, and forums across Europe, Asia, Africa, Canada, and other countries. In 2022, he was recognized as one of the leading researcher-doctors in Tunisia for his scientific contributions. His research expertise spans advanced materials, smart and functional materials, hybrid structures, nanomaterials, 2D and quantum materials, electronic and composites. He is also active in energy-related materials, including renewable energy, batteries, fuel cells, solar energy conversion and storage, and nanotechnology-driven energy solutions. After secondary school I was studied and worked in the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Physical Faculty) during 1973 – 1999. In 1989 I defended PhD thesis entitled “Paramagnetic Centres and Isomorphism Peculiarities of the Impurity 3dn -Ions in Calcium-Gallium-Germanium Garnet (CGGG) Crystals” (Speciality: Solid State Physics). During 1999 – 2001 I worked in position Associated Professor in the Institute of Experimental Physics of the Gdansk University (Poland) and during 2001 – 2007 I worked in the Chair of Physics of the Bydgoszcz University (Poland). In 2007 I defended of the Dr Sci. dissertation entitled “Spectroscopy and Structure of the Luminescence Centres and Radiation-Induced Defects in the Glasses of СaO-Ga2O3-GeO2 System” (Speciality: Optics and Laser Physics). Since 2008 up to now I work in the Vlokh Institute of Physical Optics of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Ukraine) in positions Head of Spectroscopy Group and Leading Scientific Researcher. During 2008 – 2024 I also worked in the Institute of Physics of the Zielona Góra University (Poland) in positions Professor and Head of Division of Spectroscopy of Functional Materials. My scientific interests include physics of paramagnetic and luminescence centres in solids, particularly EPR and optical spectroscopy of transition and rare-earth ions as well as of radiation-induced and intrinsic defects in oxide crystals, compositionally-disordered crystals and glasses. I am the author and co-author of more than 100 articles in international journals (h-index: 25 in Scopus and WoS) and active participant of more than 110 international conferences, symposia, and workshops.

Prof. Etibar Ismailov, Head of Laboratory “Nanocatalysts Based on Organometallic Compounds”, Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Republic Prof. Etibar Ismailov was born in Baku, Dr.Sci.(Chemistry), professor on Physical Chemistry since 1989 and 1997, respectively. Specialist in the field of surface chemistry and catalysis, author and co-author of more than 300 scientific papers published in scientific journals of the former USSR and other countries, responsible executor from Azerbaijan side of the project “Methane oxidative conversion and hydroformylation to propylene” (2019-2023) within the Horizon 2020 program of the European Comission.

Dr. Snežana Pantović is a distinguished Professor of Medical Biochemistry and Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro. With a career dedicated to bridging medicine, biotechnology, and materials science, she has made significant contributions to the fields of oxidative stress, angiogenesis, carcinogenesis, pharmacogenetics, and personalized medicine. Dr. Pantović earned her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Banja Luka in 1997, followed by specialization in Transfusion Medicine from the University of Belgrade in 2005, a Master’s in Medical Biochemistry in 2007, and a Doctorate in Medical Sciences from the University of Montenegro in 2015. She further advanced her expertise through postgraduate studies in Efferent Therapy in Reanimatology at Pavlov First State Medical University of St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2017. Her pioneering research integrates nanomaterials and biomaterials, with a particular focus on marine- and sponge-derived chitin, chitosan, and bromotyrosine derivatives. These studies have led to innovative insights into biomimetic scaffolds, anticancer compounds, and natural polymer characterization. Dr. Pantović also established the first laboratory for cell culture research at the Faculty of Medicine, marking a milestone in biomedical innovation in Montenegro. As an educator and researcher, she promotes multidisciplinary approaches linking biochemistry, pharmacology, and nanoscience to address challenges in regenerative medicine and oncology. Recognized for her academic excellence and scientific leadership, Dr. Pantović continues to drive advancements in medical biochemistry and nanomaterial-based therapeutic strategies, fostering innovation at the intersection of medicine and material science.

Barış Çetin graduated from Middle East Technical University (Ankara/Turkey), Mechanical Engineering Department in 2003.After 10 years of experience in automotive industry, he has been working at R&D Center of FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.S.as SME – Advanced Material Technologiessince December 2013. By January 2017, he completed his M.Sc.at Atılım University (Ankara/Turkey), Manufacturing Engineering Department and he received his Ph.D. degree from the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at the same university.He has professional experience in theory of plasticity, terminal ballistics,metal forming processes, mechanical characterization, computational metallurgy, quantitative metallography and Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS).
